Profile of Poverty in Pakistan, 1998-99
Published By: Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) | Published Date: January, 01 , 2001The present study while decomposing poverty across different socio-economic groups has included this variable in the analysis. The determinants of poverty based on logistic regressions have also been estimated. It is determined that policy-influenced variables such as schooling and employment creation are important factors that can lead to a significant reduction in poverty levels.
