Tamil Nadu: Monitorable Indicators and Performance

Year Plan. For this purpose, it reviews the trends in the following state specific
monitorable indicators since Ninth Plan period: GDP growth rate, agricultural growth rate,
new work opportunities, poverty ratio, drop out rate in elementary schools, literacy rate,
gender gap in literacy rate, infant mortality rate, maternal mortality ratio, total fertility
rate, child malnutrition, anemia among women and girls, and sex-ratio.
