Education for Rural Development: Towards New Policy Responses

Virtually all countries and donors agree on the importance of reducing poverty and its attendant problems of inequity, lack of respect for basic human rights, ill health, lack of knowledge and skills and marginalization of large numbers of people. The paper highlights these issues.
