Economic Impacts of Inadequate Sanitation in India
Published By: Water and Sanitation Program | Published Date: January, 01 , 2016The Water and Sanitation Program (WSP) has launched a multicountry Economics of Sanitation Initiative (ESI) to study the economic impacts of poor sanitation and the costs and benefits of improved sanitation options. The overall goal of ESI is to provide decision makers at the country and regional levels with the evidence they need to advocate for increased investment in improving sanitation and to provide an improved evidence-base for efficient planning and implementation of sustainable sanitation and hygiene options and programs.
