Pulse of the Pandemic: A Sudden Surge in Scientific Attitude During COVID-19 Crisis: A Preliminary Survey Report

The present study used surely research methods to gauge the extent of knowledge regarding the SARS-CoV-2virus and the disease it causes, COVID19, among a section of the Indian population. Some 3500 people were contacted between May 7 2020 and May 2, 2020. Respondents were predominantly male, young graduates and post graduates working in service sectors reflecting mostly urban, middle class populations. The study the first ever presents interesting findings that help us to understand how science information is processed and utilised.
