Reconciling Work and Family Life: A Study of Women’s Time Use Patterns, Unpaid Work and Workplace Policies

Early exit of women from the labour market is particularly evident in urban areas where women may not have a strong social and family support system. The differential patterns of employment between men and women and the strikingly low female labour force participation rates has been a serious issue of concern among many scholars and policy makers in India.
